Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero will launch the new phase of the Rea Vaya service in Alexandra during October Transport Month.
This will expand the citys bus rapid transit systems to areas in the north of the city including Berea, Yeoville, Alexandra and Sandton.
City of Joburg spokesperson Virgil James says the mayor will be joined by stakeholders in the taxi industry.
