Mauritius Telecom unveiled a bold new strategy at the Mauritius Telecom Connect event on 5 December 2025, aimed at accelerating the country's digital transformation and positioning Mauritius as a world-class digital hub linking Africa and Asia. The initiative sets out a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen infrastructure, technology, innovation, and financial services across the region.

The plan is structured around four strategic corridors. The Connectivity Corridor focuses on expanding fibre networks, deploying 5G-Advanced, and introducing new submarine cables to enhance regional and international connectivity. The AI/Computer Corridor emphasizes advanced computing capabilities through GPU clusters, Tier IV data centre expansion, and sovereign cloud services to support artificial intelligence initiatives.

The Innovation Scaleup Corridor is designed to support startups under the initiative "Build in Mauritius, Scale across continents", providing entrepreneurs with tools and opportunities to grow across Africa and Asia. Meanwhile, the Financial Corridor aims to scale my.t money into a cross-border payment solution, enhancing regional financial integration.
