The matric class of 2025 achieved the highest pass rate in history, securing 88 compared to 2024s 87.26.
Announcing the results, basic education minister Siviwe Gwarube said: The NSC pass rate is 88 an increase of around 0.7 from 2024. 88 is the highest pass rate in our countrys history.
Gwarube said the results tell a clear story that the basic education system has become more stable.
