Former Ekurhuleni City Manager Dr Imogen Mashazi has dropped fresh allegations of serious misconduct against Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department EMPD Chief Isaac Mapiyeye , claims that were never captured in official reports.
Mashazi told the Commission that one woman alleged she was assaulted by Mapiyeye, a case reportedly taken up by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate before the complainant was pressured to withdraw.
She also revealed a separate allegation of rape involving another woman, saying law enforcement authorities shielded the police chief, leaving the victim without justice.
