Deputy President Paul Mashatile says gender-based violence and femicide GBVF remain a major concern. He was delivering his final annual address to the National Council of Provinces NCOP on Thursday.
Mashatiles address happens when the country is observing 16 Days of Activism against GBVF.
He also says that men must take greater responsibility in protecting women and children.
