Kyle Stowers' 2025 season began with a walk-off RBI single on Opening Day against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Less than four months later, Stowers' play earned him a trip to the All-Star Game on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta - the first of his Major League career.
Marlins manager Clayton McCullough announced the exciting news in the clubhouse at loanDepot Park prior to the team's 3-1 loss against the Milwaukee Brewers in the series finale.
"It's pretty surreal, to be honest. I'll be honest, there's always been a part of me that believed I had this capability," Stowers said.
Acquired nearly one year ago from the Baltimore Orioles along with infielder Connor Norby in exchange for left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers, Stowers - struggling to find his swing throughout the second half of last season and into spring training this year - now leads the club in home runs 16 and runs batted in 46 through 88 games.
