Former South Africa head coach Mark Boucherbelieves Virat Kohli still has enough cricket left in him to feature in the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will be co-hosted by South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe next year. He asserted that age will not be a limiting factor for the Indian batting stalwart.
The Indian legend retired from T20Is following the T20 World Cup triumph in 2024, and from Tests in the last year, though the Delhi cricketer continues to play ODI cricket.
Speaking about Kohli's longevity and continued relevance in international cricket, Boucher expressed strong confidence in the former India captain's ability to remain part of the national setup for the next global 50-over event. Kohli, who has been a central figure in India's ODI plans for over a decade, continues to be a vital cog in the middle order.
