Maria Defeats Keys To Reach Hsbc Championships Final

German qualifier, Tatjana Maria, upset second-seeded American, Madison Keys, in straight sets to advance to the final of the HSBC Championships at the Queens Club in London.

Although the Australian Open champion hit 41 winners to 11, Keys also made 36 unforced errors to Marias six.

Maria carved out a 6-3, 7-6 win to reach her first WTA 500 final, the biggest of her career.

She will also make a significant move up the rankings, ahead of the years third grand slam, Wimbledon, which starts on the 30th of June.
