The Mantis Hotel group has announced plans to expand beyond Africa, with three new properties in the Middle East.

The African-based hotel group announced the trio of new signings at the Future Hospitality Summit. The properties are the Hawar Resort by Mantis in Bahrain, Mantis Al Baha in Saudi Arabia and Mantis Saij Mountain Lodge in the United Arab Emirates.

This is Mantiss first venture outside Africa it has properties in Botswana, Madagascar, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, St Helena, Tanzania and Victoria Falls.

Hawar Resort by Mantis will be built on Bahrains Hawar Island and is set to open in the third quarter of 2024. The resort will have 102 luxury accommodation options and will be surrounded by a thriving wildlife sanctuary, being a part of Mantiss sustainable hospitality portfolio.

The Mantis Al Baha 100-unit resort will be open from the second quarter of 2025 and will be home to an adventure park for thrill-seeking visitors, as well as spa facilities.

The Mantis Saij Mountain Lodge will offer guests 70 luxury eco-lodges and a range of guided treks and enriching activities in its mountainous location in the UAE. An opening date has not yet been announced for this property.
