Manenberg shooting claimed the lives of two men after gunfire erupted in Thames Avenue early on Thursday morning. Police confirmed that officers registered two counts of murder following the incident, which occurred at about 7am in the Manenberg area, reports Cape town Etc .
According to the South African Police Service SAPS, the victims were men aged 50 and 53. Both were shot multiple times in the upper body and were declared dead at the scene. Emergency services responded shortly after reports of gunfire but could not save the men.
The suspects fled the scene and are yet to be arrested, media liaison officer Captain F.C Van Wyk told Cape town Etc in a statement.
