Police in Vryheid north of KwaZulu-Natal have arrested a 48-year-old man after he allegedly burnt his 41-year-old girlfriend to death and attempted to kill her 28-year-old daughter by hacking her with an axe.
The suspect also allegedly raped the deceaseds 13-year-old daughter, at the Shanelweni Reserve area in Ngome.
Police say the suspect attacked the victims in the early hours of the morning.
