The Economic Freedom Fighters EFF leader, Julius Malema, says having the partys 12th year celebrations in Khayelitsha, outside Cape Town, will consolidate its support in the Western Cape.
Malema addressed the media in Cape Town, ahead of the partys anniversary rally this weekend.
It is the first time the party celebrates its birthday milestone in the province.
The party says it has erected a dome that can accommodate 10 000 people and expects it to be packed.
Malema says their research shows that the party is growing its support in the Democratic Alliance DA governed Western Cape.
