The Economic Freedom Fighters EFF has vowed to appeal an Equality Court ruling that found its leader Julius Malema guilty of hate speech.
The case relates to Malemas statements at an EFF rally in Cape Town in October 2022. In his address, he referred to a confrontation between EFF members and residents at Brackenfell High School in 2020 following an alleged racial incident.
The EFF leader made specific references to a white man and urged party supporters to attend to him.
