Lyons Alexandre Lacazette's final Ligue 1 appearance for the club ended on a bittersweet note after he discovered his home had been burgled during the match.
The 33-year-old striker had earlier scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Angers on Saturday, securing European qualification for Lyon next season and taking his tally to 201 goals across two spells with the club.
However, the joy of his performance quickly faded when news emerged that his house in Lyon had been broken into while he was on the pitch.
According to police sources cited by AFP, around 50,000 in cash, along with luxury items, leather goods, and a car key, were stolen. The vehicle itself was not taken.
Surveillance footage reportedly captured three intruders entering the property through ventilation ducts at around 9:30 pm local time.
