lusikisiki mass murder trial resumes

The trial of six men accused of the murder of 18 people at Ngobozana village in Lusikisiki last year will continue at the Mthatha High Court sitting in Lusikisiki in the Eastern Cape this morning.

The trial was adjourned on Monday as one of the legal representatives of the accused was unavailable.

Last week, the court dealt with the killing of African National Congress ANC politician Mncedisi Gijana in Kwabhaca in August last year.

It is alleged that the firearms that were used to kill Gijana were positively linked to the murder of 18 people at Ngobozana.

Three witnesses have been called by the state so far.
