Liverpool and Portugal footballer Diogo Jota has tragically died at the age of 28 following a car accident in Spain. His younger brother, Andre Silva, also lost his life in the crash, which occurred in the province of Zamora.
Silva, 26, was also a professional player, representing Penafiel in Portugal's second division.
The news comes just weeks after Jota married his long-time partner, Rute Cardoso, in a ceremony on June 22. The couple, who share three children, recently shared photographs from their wedding on social media.
Jota was a key figure in Liverpool's recent Premier League triumph and played a vital role in Portugal's UEFA Nations League victory last month.
Tributes have poured in for the forward, whose career spanned successful spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool, as well as a prominent role with the Portuguese national team.
