SANParks has announced the temporary closure of the Jeep Track at Lions Head from April 20 to June 20 to allow for maintenance work.
The track will be inaccessible to the public during this period, subject to project timelines and weather conditions.
Hikers will still be able to access the Lions Head summit via alternative routes, including the Kramat trail on Signal Hill Road, the Upper Rhine Road trail and the trail from Kloof Road. The Lions Head parking area will remain open for those using the Kramat route.
