The Liberia Telecommunications Authority, through the Universal Access Fund's Rural Telephony Program, has installed a new communications tower in Vahun, Lofa County, significantly improving mobile coverage for the community.

The initiative is part of a broader plan to build 15 additional towers nationwide, with upcoming installations planned for Rivercess and Sinoe counties, aimed at reducing Liberia's digital divide. In addition, rural schools will receive Starlink satellite kits, bringing high-speed internet and enabling smart classroom solutions for students.

These investments represent a major step toward enhancing connectivity, expanding access to digital education, and ensuring that rural communities are not left behind.
