Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has appealed to the public to support matric learners as they start their final exams on Tuesday.
More than 188 000 matric learners in Gauteng will started their National Senior Certificate exams.
The province aims to maintain its strong performance after achieving an 88.4 pass rate last year.
