Los Angeles International Airports LAX Terminal 5 will soon close for a complete demolition and revamp in preparation for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The terminal will be closed from Tuesday, October 28, and is expected to reopen in 2028, just before the Games begin.
'Our goal is to minimise disruption during this transition, and we are working closely with our airline partners to ensure continued operations and smooth travel for our passengers, said Doug Webster , Chief Airport Operations and Maintenance Officer at Los Angeles World Airports.
