A Spanish football federation judge, Jose Alberto Pelaez, has thrown out Real Madrids request to move their opening LaLiga fixture against Osasuna.
Los Blancos made the request due to their involvement in the Club World Cup.
Xabi Alonsos men played their last game at the tournament on July 9, losing 4-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinal.
Their first league game has been scheduled for August 19, which is 41 days after the match against PSG.
Madrid argued that date was a breach of the minimum period of rest and preparation as contained in the collective agreement which governs professional football in Spain.
