More than 98 trucks have been stopped and 47 truck drivers interviewed as part of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transports unstoppable NenzaniLaEzweni Operation over the past week.
Transport MEC Siboniso Duma said that during the operation the departments Road Traffic Inspectorate team had arrested an undocumented Zimbabwean truck driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Duma said a further five foreign nationals had been arrested for being in the country illegally and for producing fraudulent documents.
