Traffic volumes on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal are expected to pick up from this weekend. The N3 Toll Concession says its bracing for higher than usual traffic, as the province prepares to welcome more than a million holidaymakers this festive season .
Deputy Transport Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa is leading a multi-disciplinary operation at the Mooi River toll plaza.
He says 800 traffic officers will be deployed nationwide to enforce road rules and improve safety.
