Kenya has secured global acclaim after the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner ODPC won four prestigious awards at the Global Privacy Assembly GPA Awards held in Seoul, South Korea. The recognition cements Kenya's position as a leader in advancing data protection and privacy on the international stage.

The accolades were presented to Principal Secretary for ICT and the Digital Economy, Eng. John Tanui, by Data Commissioner Immaculate Kassait, MBS, who also announced Kenya's successful bid to host the GPA in 2027. The upcoming event is expected to bring global data privacy experts and policymakers to Nairobi, marking a historic milestone for the country.
