Kenya is deepening its partnership with the Republic of Azerbaijan through growing diplomatic, economic, and development collaboration, according to Hon. William Kabogo Gitau.

Recent engagements, including high-level visits, the inaugural Bilateral Political Consultations, and joint participation at COP-29, have reinforced ties between the two countries. Azerbaijan recently demonstrated its support for Kenya by donating USD 20,000 to St. Ursula's Special School in Chamakanga, highlighting the strength of the bilateral relationship.

As Kenya prepares to host UNEA-7 in December 2025, the country values Azerbaijan's support on key resolutions covering Artificial Intelligence, Sports Environment, and Antimicrobial Resistance. Looking ahead, Kenya will also participate at the 13th World Urban Forum WUF13 in Baku in 2026, further expanding cooperation in digital innovation, climate action, trade, and green growth.
