Kenya And Romania Sign Historic Mou To Strengthen Cybersecurity Cooperation

Kenya and Romania have formalized a new cybersecurity partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding MoU aimed at strengthening cooperation in digital security. The agreement, led by Kenya's National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee NC4 and Romania's National Cyber Security Directorate DNSC, establishes a framework for collaboration on information sharing, joint response to cyber incidents, capacity building, and the development of advanced cybersecurity solutions.

Hon. William Kabogo Gitau highlighted that the MoU represents a shared commitment to safeguarding both nations from evolving cyber threats, emphasizing that collaboration-rather than isolation-is key to fostering a safer and more resilient digital environment. The partnership seeks to empower citizens, support innovation, and secure digital economies across Kenya and Romania.

The signing was attended by Her Excellency Gentiana Serbu, Ambassador of Romania to Kenya, alongside key partners from both countries, marking a significant step toward building a secure and prosperous digital future.
