Super Eagles stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho have sealed Premier League promotion with Leicester City following Leeds United 4-0 loss to QPR on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports. Leicester City got relegated from the Premier League last season after a final day heartbreak that saw them finish 18th with 34 points after 38 games. Following their relegation, they lost some of their important players like Harvey Barnes, Timothy Castagne, James Maddison, and Youri Tielemans. However, after Enzo Maresca took over and the introduction of new players like Stephy Mavididi, Issahaku Fatawu, and Harry Winks, the team has improved and have dominated the Championship. Going into Leeds Uniteds game against QPR, the Foxes had 94 points and just needed a win to seal their promotion to the top-flight. However, if QPR lost, Leicester Citys promotion would be confirmed, as it would mathematically mean that the Foxes will finish within the top two places on the Championship. Fortunately for Leicester City, Leeds United suffered a 4-0 bashing, albeit the Foxes need to still win one more game before they can be crowned as the Champions of the league. More to follow.
