The Super Bowl pregame on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans will feature performances with a strong Louisiana influence. Jon Batiste, a multi-talented artist, will sing the national anthem, while Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle are set to perform "America the Beautiful."
These performances will take place before the NFL's championship game and the halftime show, which will feature rap star Kendrick Lamar. Seth Dudowsky, NFL's head of music, expressed excitement about celebrating the musical heritage of New Orleans and Louisiana with this year's lineup.
Additionally, Ledisi will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing" during the pregame. All the performers are natives of Louisiana. The national anthem and "America the Beautiful" will also be presented in American sign language by Stephanie Nogueras.
