Equatorial Guinean goalkeeper, Jesus Owono has been awarded the Sidi Ali Water Save of the Day at the ongoing African Cup of Nations AFCON, Softfootball reports.
Although, Equatorial Guinea lost 3-1 to Algeria in their final Group E match, Owono's point black save from that encounter did not go unnoticed as he capped a poor tournament with a brilliant end.
Equatorial Guinea failed to win any matches in Group E and finished with zero points, scoring just two goals and conceding a whopping six goals but despite the poor performance from the team but Jesus Owono was superb in goal.
