Tiffany Meek, the mother of the late Jayden-Lee 11, says she intends to plead not guilty to all charges brought against her. She appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court west of Johannesburg on Friday for her bail hearing and the matter has been postponed to Monday next week.
In an affidavit read by her defense lawyer Novel Naidoo in court, Tiffany Meek indicated that she does not believe her life is in danger as she intends to relocate to KwaZulu-Natal should she be released on bail.
I fail to understand how I could be charged with the murder of my own son when I was the person fighting for answers from the police and doing everything to ensure that the killer was found and arrested.
Naidoo also maintains that his client is being framed by the state to make the case similar to that of Joshlin Smith in the Western Cape.
On the 4th of July 2025, both Rihaad and Leandro Meek, Jaydens biological father was taken to Pretoria cybercrimes department to have the contents of their phones downloaded. It is evident that the state is trying to link those closest to the accused.
