Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has voiced mild concern on India's likelihood of qualifying for the final of the 2025-27 cycle of the World Test Championship. India have won four, lost four and drawn one match in the 2025-27 cycle of the WTC until now.
Chopra reckoned that the 0-2 loss at home against South Africa might come back and haunt India in their pursuit of their third WTC final. He also pointed out that India's schedule will not make it as easy for them to compensate for the lost points.
The renowned commentator highlighted that the journey ahead will a tough one for the Indian Test unit. He felt it will be hard for India to win all five Tests against Australia even on Indian soil, while the two-Test series which will be held in New Zealand will be even trickier.
