Eastern Cape Premier Oscar Mabuyane has welcomed Isuzu South Africas investment in a new R740-million metal stamping facility launched in Gqeberha on Thursday.
The plant positions local supplier VSL Manufacturing, which is a majority Black female-owned company founded in Komani in 2018, as a key player in the provincial automotive supply chain.
The project has already created 120 permanent jobs across Gqeberha and Komani, with the company saying it has capacity to expand and open more vacancies over the next three years.
