The decision to reclassify tourism activities and transfers from zero-rated to a standard 15.5 VAT rate is placing some operators under pressure, as reported by Tourism Update last week.
An overwhelming 79 of readers said these tourism services should have remained exempt from VAT in order to protect competitiveness. Just 19 said the VAT parity is fair while the remaining 2 are Unsure.
