Manoj Tiwary launched a scathing attack on India's assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate following the former Netherlands captain's analysis about Rohit Sharma's indifferent performance in the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand.
In the first two ODIs, Rohit has registered scores of 26 29 and 24 38. After the second game at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Wednesday, January 14, ten Doeschate said that the former India captain isn't looking too fluent as there is a shortage of match practice for him at the international level. Rohit retired from T20I cricket in 2024 and Tests last year. He has been playing only ODI cricket in the last few months but his performances against Australia and South Africa were quite impressive.
Tiwary said that he played with Ten Doeschate during his time at the Kolkata Knight Riders and knows that he is a good person. However, the former India cricketer said that the Port Elizabeth-born should have refrained from issuing such statements on a stalwart like Rohit.
