Orange Sierra Leone has taken a major step in employee empowerment by issuing official share certificates to eligible employees under its Employee Shareholding Scheme. The initiative allows employees to gain ownership, profit entitlement, and a direct stake in the company's long-term success, reinforcing Orange's commitment to shared value and inclusive growth.
Agnes Songa, Human Resource Director and one of Orange Sierra Leone's longest-serving employees with over 25 years of service, described becoming a shareholder as "a dream come true," expressing pride in being recognized not only as an employee but also as a stakeholder in the company.
The initiative is part of the legacy of outgoing CEO Sekou Amadu Bah, whose leadership emphasized employee empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable growth. The company thanked its shareholders and Board of Directors for their support in realizing the scheme, which strengthens a culture of ownership and shared success across the organization.
