The Independent Examinations Board IEB has attributed the slight decrease in its 2025 pass rate to various factors. They include more schools migrating to the agency and increasing online schools.

The IEB has achieved an overall pass rate of 98.3 in the 2025 National Senior Certificate examinations.

This marks the lowest rate since achieving 98.6 in 2020, and 98.47 in 2024.
