icc announces cheapestever tickets for womens world cup in india

The International Cricket Council ICC has made a milestone decision to make the upcoming Women's World Cup 2025 more accessible by announcing the cheapest ticket prices in the history of any ICC global event. With the pre-sale window opening on September 4, tickets are priced as low as INR 100 approximately USD 1.14, letting fans across India and Sri Lanka be part of cricket's biggest women's tournament at record affordability.

The 13th edition of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, beginning on September 30 in Guwahati with the opening clash between the hosts. This will see the return of the Women's World Cup to India after 12 years. A total of eight teams, including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Bangladesh, will compete across five venues: Colombo, Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Navi Mumbai.

The ICC's decision to slash ticket prices stands out when compared to the last edition in 2022, where tickets cost NZD 7 for children and NZD 17 for adults, which was around INR 350 USD 4.45 and INR 850 USD 10, respectively. The 2025 edition's base ticket of INR 100 makes this tournament eight times cheaper than its predecessor.
