Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are not the only senior players in focus for the upcoming 2027 ODI World Cup. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also expressed his willingness to be a part of the 50-over squad and help the Indian team lift the World Cup trophy in Africa. Notably, Jadeja was recently dropped from the ODI squad ahead of the tour of Australia.
On being asked about his views on his non-selection at the press conference on the second day of the ongoing Test match against the West Indies, Jadeja said that like any other cricketer, he also dreams to win an ODI World Cup before calling a time on his career. Upon being dropped, Jadeja spoke to chief selector and captain Shubman Gill, and got a response on why he was not considered for the Australia series.
The 36-year-old senior cricketer also mentioned that the snub from the Australia series does not mean the end of the road for him, as there are many opportunities that will come his way before the 2027 World Cup. He aims to keep doing whatever he has done the best in all the years of his international career, and fulfill his dream of lifting the prestigious trophy.
