Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, recently claimed that he inspired Burna Boy at a certain point in his career. In an interview with Naija FM in Lagos, Skales shared that before Burna Boy featured on the Temper Remix in 2017, the Port Harcourt-born artist had not yet achieved a hit song.
Skales also acknowledged that Burna Boy has inspired him over the years, highlighting the mutual respect between the two. He emphasized that the essence of collaboration in the music industry is about supporting and promoting each other.
I inspired Burna Boy. He will agree with me. So, nobody helps anybody. We probably admire ourselves and we decide to work together, Skales stated. He also pointed out that, at the time of the collaboration, Burna Boy did not have a hit song before he was featured on Temper Remix.
