Dewald Brevis praised MS Dhoni for his humble demeanour after sharing the Chennai Super Kings' CSK dressing room with the former India captain in the Indian Premier League IPL 2025. The South African batter joined the Men in Yellow midway through the IPL for INR 2.2 crore, replacing the injured Gurjapneet Singh.
Brevis said that the door to Dhoni's room is always open except when he is sleeping. The right-handed batter mentioned that he went to the wicketkeeper-batter's room on several occasions during the tournament and knew about his hobbies while also watching cricket matches.
While CSK finished last on the points table at the end of the season, Brevis impressed with his performances with the bat. The 22-year-old amassed 225 runs in six innings at a mind-boggling strike rate of 180. While reports are suggesting that CSK are looking to overhaul their squad ahead of next season, Brevis seems certain to continue with the five-time champions.
