The ongoing standoff between FECAFOOT and the Ministry of Sports has drawn yet another wave of criticism this time from Hon. Samuel Moth, who delivered a scathing assessment while speaking on Club dlites on Vision4 TV.
In a candid intervention, the lawmaker lamented what he described as a complete breakdown in cooperation between the two institutions, arguing that their public disputes are dragging Cameroons football image into disrepute.
He referenced recent scenes at the Hilton Hotel in Yaound, where officials from both camps were reportedly scrambling over decisions related to the national team.
According to Hon. Moth, the situation resembled a bus station quarrel, with each side pulling in opposite directions and arguing over players.
He warned that exporting such internal conflicts onto the public stage has turned Cameroon into a global laughingstock, urging both parties to restore order, respect institutional roles, and prioritise the national interest.
The remarks come amid growing calls from the public for clarity, unity and professionalism around preparations for major competitions especially AFCON 2025, as the governing bodies continue to share strained relations with the latest twist being the sack of Marc Brys as indomitable Lions head coach without the ministers consent.
