Gauteng Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko says Brian Hlongwas legacy cannot be overshadowed by the allegations of corruption that were brought against him.
At the time of his death, Hlongwa was facing corruption and money laundering charges from irregular contracts during his tenure as Health MEC between 2006-2009.
The trial was set to begin in April 2026.
