hlabisa asks umzumbe voters to set the tone for local elections

Inkatha Freedom Party IFP leader Velenkosini Hlabisa has asked voters in Umzumbe, on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, to set the tone for an IFP victory in the upcoming by-election and the local government elections later this year.

Voters in ward 13 will go to the polls on Wednesday in a hotly contested race between the IFP, ANC, MK Party and NFP.

Up to this point the municipality has been co-governed by the IFP and ANC, after winning 17 seats each in 2021.
