Hideaways Africa, which offers a collection of eco lodges in southern Africa, has announced its official takeover ofBumbusi Wilderness Camp's sales and marketing, marking an expansion within its Hideaways Collection.
With immediate effect, all enquiries, bookings, confirmations, reservations and contact channels for Bumbusi Wilderness Camp will transition to the Hideaways Africa team.
Things will stay the same for now but there will be new offerings of the renamed Hideaways Bumbusi Wilderness Camp in the coming months.
The camp is inHwange National Park, surrounded by trees and natural springs, and offers opportunities for Big Five game viewing.
The stone and thatch cabins overlook the camps lawns and complement the geology of the wilderness area. Travellers can expect hot showers and baths overlooking nature, a pool, walking activities led by the camp's permanent pro-guide, and coffee and dinners around a fire.
AlthoughBumbusi Wilderness Camptraditionally caters only for exclusive-use clients, now that the camp falls under the Hideaways brand it will cater for both independent travellers and those seeking exclusive-use for special occasions or intergenerational gatherings.
Travellers can also combine the offerings of Hideaways Bumbusi Wilderness Camp with Hideaways Nantwich Lodge, which is a two-and-a-half-hour game transfer away.
Guests at Hideaways Nantwich can expect to see large groups of lions, cheetahs, elephants, and hyenas. The lodge has a main area, private deck, pool, and hide.
At Hideaways Bumbusi Wilderness Camp, walking-based activities give visitors close meetings with history and nature. Travellers can walk through the rough terrain or go on a hunt for crocodiles at Bera Pools. They can also learn about the Nambya past at the less well-known Bumbusi ruins and intricate rock carvings.
