The state-of-the-art centre will house the Whale Unit of the University of Pretorias Mammal Research Institute MRI, ensuring that scientific research remains at the heart of its mission.

Visitors will be able to explore the ocean like never before through a 3D immersive dome, augmented reality displays, and virtual whale encounters, allowing them to observe whales in their natural habitat without leaving the building.
