Former uMkhonto weSizwe MK Party Secretary-General Floyd Shivambu is facing disciplinary charges, reportedly led by the partys disputed Mpumalanga leader Busisiwe Mkhwebane .
Shivambu is now an ordinary member of MK Party following his dramatic removal from his Secretary-General position earlier in June.
However, his problems did not end there. The charges he faces include alleged gross dereliction of duty and negligence, abuse of office, factionalism, and unauthorised disclosure of confidential information.
The Mpumalanga provincial detachment, whose leadership is contested by Mkhwebane and Mary Phadi , has filed the complaint. It is calling for, among others, Shivambus suspension.
