The Border Management Authority BMA says it has enlisted the help of health specialists to examine returning travellers at the Beitbridge border post in Musina, Limpopo. It says the aim of the screening is to curb the spread of communicable diseases in the country.
BMA spokesperson Mmeme Mogotsi says collaborating with other departments is key to ensuring the smooth processing of travellers.
Our immigration specialists are also in their deployment, health specialists, our agriculture and biosecurity and law enforcement will be searching and looking at everything the travellers are carrying so that we dont import any prohibited substance into the country, says Mogotsi.
