A quiet night in Lower Crossroads turned into a crime scene in the early hours of Saturday when three young people were gunned down inside a house on Hankomo Street, Philippi East.
Police confirmed that the deadly shooting occurred at around 2am, when two suspects allegedly disguised themselves as police officers before forcing their way into the home and opening fire.
The Western Cape's Serious and Violent Crime Unit is now investigating three counts of murder and one of attempted murder.
Paramedics found the bodies of two men, aged 19 and 20, and a 20-year-old woman, as per Smile FM . A fourth victim, a 26-year-old woman, was shot in both arms and taken to hospital for treatment.
The motive behind the brutal attack has not yet been established.
