Guinea has marked a historic step in its digital transformation journey with the official launch of its national domain ".gn" and the inauguration of the country's first Tier III national data center.
The high-profile ceremony was chaired by Djiba Diakite, Minister, Chief of Cabinet and Chairman of the Simandou Strategic Committee, alongside General Amara Camara, Minister Secretary General of the Presidency. The event brought together representatives of republican institutions, members of the CNR and government, senior civil and military authorities, members of the diplomatic corps, and Guinea's technical and financial partners.
One of the most notable announcements during the event was that Conakry will host the 7th edition of the Transform Africa Summit TAS25 from November 12-14, 2025. Focused on Artificial Intelligence, the summit will make Conakry the first West African capital - and Guinea the first Francophone country in Africa - to host the landmark continental forum.
