In a huge step towards strengthening Cape Town's freight and export infrastructure, JSE-listed logistics giant Grindrod has unveiled the first phase of its R200 million container depot in Salt River, a move set to ease congestion and minimise weather-related disruptions at the Port of Cape Town.
Situated beside the Salt River train station and less than three kilometres from the harbour, the newly launched facility marks a crucial addition to the Western Cape's logistics network.
